Grab a sneak peek of what processing a MOTO payment looks like on an Android™ EFTPOS terminal.
In our first Android EFTPOS demo post, we showed you what taking payment and processing refunds looks like on a Verifone T650p. In this demo, we take you through a MOTO payment on a Verifone T650p EFTPOS terminal.
What is a MOTO payment?
A MOTO payment is when you collect customers card details over the phone or via email and then manually enter them into your terminal to process a payment. To process MOTO transactions, you will need to talk to your bank about taking card-not-present payments.
Check out how to do a MOTO payment here:
- Enter the transaction amount
- Tap Other
- Tap Manual Card Entry
- Tap Mail Order or Phone Order
- Enter the card number, tap Enter and then tap Confirm
NOTE: For your customer’s security, your terminal won’t display the full card number on screen while you type it in - Enter the card expiration date in the format MM/YY
- Your terminal processes the transaction and then displays Approved or Declined
- Select EMAIL to email the customer their receipt, or NO THANKS to continue back to the payment screen
You can learn more about how to use the T650p and Carbon mobile 5 with Printer in our online user guide.
