We’ve now completed the rollout of our new Android EFTPOS experience first introduced in May. This update adds the finishing touches to the new interface and includes extra enhancements like the Alipay+ logo on present card screens, more control over receipt settings, and a range of fixes to improve stability and performance
Redesigned to be clearer and faster to navigate
You’ll now see a refreshed interface across menus, transaction flows, settings, reports, and error messages. The new layout reduces clutter, highlights key actions, and improves readability. These updates make everyday tasks smoother and more intuitive, whether you’re processing a sale or running end-of-day reports. Learn more about our new Android experience here.
You can now manage receipt settings directly on your terminal
Go to Device Manager > Configuration Options > Merchant to toggle Print Merchant Receipt, Print Customer Receipt, and Show Email Receipt Option on or off. This gives you more flexibility to print or email customer receipts, and turn off merchant receipts if you prefer. It saves paper and gives customers more choice.
Contactless refunds no longer prompt for a PIN
This brings Android EFTPOS in line with other terminals in New Zealand. The change applies to all contactless refunds, regardless of the amount. Mobile wallets may still ask the customer for Face ID, a passcode, or fingerprint verification where supported.
This extends support to a wider range of digital wallets using your existing setup. We’ve also updated the Centrapay logo to match their new brand. These refreshed visuals make it easier for customers to recognise accepted payment types at checkout.
Navigator volume is now separate from the device’s media volume and is set to 75% by default
Navigator voice guidance, chimes and prompts are now louder independent of your device’s volume setting, making them easier to hear in noisy environments.
Terminals will now stop new transactions from starting within one minute of a scheduled PCI reboot
This prevents incomplete or interrupted sales. If a transaction is attempted during this window, the terminal will decline it and show ‘PCI Reboot Pending’. PCI reboots are required updates that keep your terminal secure, and this safeguard helps ensure transactions finish safely before maintenance begins.
This update includes several behind-the-scenes fixes to improve day-to-day performance, including:
Better Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stability
Display and keyboard layout fixes
Split payment and pre-auth fixes
Improved error handling for integrated POS systems
