Settlement

Your EFTPOS terminal sends all processed transactions to your bank each day, this is called 'settlement'. This typically happens automatically between 10:15 PM and 11:55 PM. Some payment types like AMEX or gift cards settle separately and take longer.

What is a settlement cutover?

A settlement cutover closes the current trading day and starts a new one. Your terminal automatically runs this by 9:45 PM daily (if connected to the Verifone network), but you can also do it manually. Any transactions after a manual cutover are included in the next day’s settlement.

Tip: If you trade outside standard hours, call 0800 EFTPOS (option 2) to request a customised cutover time.

How do I check my settlement total on Android?

You can use two types of reports:

Settlement Enquiry report

  1. From the Payment screen, tap the hamburger menu

  2. Tap Reports

  3. Tap Settlement Enquiry

Settlement History report

  1. From the Payment screen, tap the hamburger menu

  2. Tap Reports

  3. Tap Settlement History

  4. Tap a date to view that day’s report

Quick checks:
